Mygift Enterprises works with many Churches, Schools, Non-profit organizations and other types of foundations and agencies are that in need of financial aid every year. Mygift is very fortunate to still have all of our great new and repeat customers who are able to purchase our wholesale backpacks yearly. And every year we are able to show our gratitude by having the ability to give out a few donations. Although we have our limit of 3 annually, we still would like to be able to help out in any way we can.

Mainline Health Systems is a Federally Qualified Health Center in Southeast Arkansas. We are a nonprofit that provides primary health care to the poor and uninsured. Our counties are some of the poorest in the nation. Our patients not only have difficulty affording school supplies, backpacks, and coats for their kids, but they also have trouble getting somewhere to purchase them. We are very rural and many patients cannot afford to drive the 40 plus miles to a retail location. Many do not have a means of transportation at all. We try every year to buy a few backpacks and school supplies to give away to those in greatest need. Our budget only allows a very limited number. We have 11,000 patients and about 400 that would fall in the category of elementary kids with high levels of need. People all over the country are feeling the economic crunch right now, but frankly there is little if any difference here. Our per capita is around $13,000 and unemployment is 15% or so and it always has been. This area is poor. Poor is not being able to light a candle in your home because the wind blows it out coming through the wall. I have lived in Chicago, St. Louis, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Charleston, and several other smaller cities and nothing come close to the poverty of the Mississippi River Delta. Hi my name is Terri and I live in Houma Louisiana I am shopping around for Backpacks for a fundraiser that my daughters and I started in June.( facebook) page ( Backpacks for Louisiana ) We got a 200.00 donation to purchase some backpacks, and i saw this link. Our story even made our local paper ( Houma Courier ) on June 28. I was just telling my daughters tonight that i wish we could find someone who would match what we buy. Or give us a bigger discount. We are trying to help so many. As you know we have been hit by the biggest disaster in US History so we wanted to do something for our locals that are hurting so bad. Our Fishermen and other families that live down the lower bayou's. There whole way of life has been ruined. Most of the old timers are not trained to do anything else, most of them don't read or write, it is the future generations that will be taking care of the hard working folks. Now folks are waiting for payments from BP just to pay there normal bills and the thought of school supplies is out of the question . To date we have collected over 1000 dollars in school supplies and still coming in everyday. Also my former Church in Longwood Florida( Nortland A Church Distributed) is having a Backpack drive July 31- August 2 and we are promised 250-500 of the supplied Backpacks of what they raise, they are also sending a video team here to Louisiana to film our 1st hand out on August 7, 2010 in a fishing community of 3000 we are so excited.All together we are hoping to help kid's at 7 schools. We have 275 dollars to spend and want to get the most for our money, is there anyway we can get 5 different colors ?
